The OEA

a picture of the schools doors opening

The Old Edwardians Association (OEA) was founded in 1883 to “promote union and good fellowship among all old pupils of and others connected with the School of King Edward the Sixth in Birmingham”.

Keeping alumni and friends in touch with one another and with KES remains central to the school’s mission today. Now run centrally from school by the Development & Alumni Relations Office (DARO), membership of the OEA is free of charge and opens up a suite of events,  networks, communications and publications, to keep you connected with KES and with one another. We’re also here to help if you’d like to give back to your old school, by offering offering your time or a gift to help today’s students.

OEA Committee

The Development & Alumni Relations team is supported by a committee of dedicated alumni, who offer their advice and guidance on our engagement activities.

We’re always keen to ensure that the committee represents as broad a spectrum of alumni as possible. If you’d be interested in joining, we’d love to hear from you via oldeds@kes.org.uk

The committee meets three times each year, in person or online.
