You may be able to give tax-efficiently if you live outside the UK.
We are grateful to the many global alumni who give back to the boys and the school.
You may be able to give tax-efficiently if you live outside the UK. Below is a list of known services for international gifts from Europe and the United States.
European Giving
Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) is a private network of 19 countries which enables donors (both corporations and individuals) resident in one of the participating countries to support charitable organisations in other member countries, while benefiting directly from the tax advantages in their country of residence. To participate in the scheme, donors can give their gifts to the TGE foundation in their home country which then provides the donor with a tax receipt and transfers the gift to the beneficiary organisation. Please note that it can take up to three months for the donation to reach us. To find out more about Transnational Giving Europe, please visit their website.
United States of America
For those paying US taxes, donations to the Assisted Places Fund can be made through the BSUF (British Schools and Universities Foundation Inc). Grants made by the BSUF to the Assisted Places Fund enable donors in the US to claim an income tax deduction under Section 501 (C) (3) from the US Inland Revenue Service.
When you are asked for the ‘Approved Institution’, please note that The King Edward’s School Birmingham Trust sits underneath the umbrella of the Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham (The Foundation). Please input “The Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham – KES” as the ‘Approved Institution’.
Donation by cheque

Donation by Credit Card
BSUF credit card donations are processed by ‘Network for Good’, a company specialising in serving non-profit organisations. Simply click here and follow the instructions. Please note that the gift we receive will be reduced by 3% – the fee charged to process the donation.
For more information about the BSUF, visit their website. Our US-based representatives for BSUF is Frank Booth.
‘As an expatriate Brit living in the USA I make all my donations to KES via BSUF. Unlike some other agencies, which may take a commission, they transmit all of my gift to KES. They do this in a timely manner, and I get all the paperwork I need for the appropriate tax deduction.’
