KES has a long-standing history of alumni sports clubs and events; most notably at the OEA’s Memorial Ground at Streetsbrook Road, home to Old Edwardian Rugby and Cricket.

The Old Edwardian Sports Club (limited company 00683552) maintains 13 acres of sports facilities at the Memorial Ground on Streetsbrook Road (B90 3PE).
The Rugby Club
The Rugby Club runs two teams and plays in the RFU Counties 1 Midlands West (North).
The Cricket Club
The Cricket Club runs two teams each playing in the Warwickshire Cricket League.
New players are always welcome, as are new social members. Regular events are held and OEs of all vintages are welcome to enjoy the facilities.

The OE Golf Society
The OE Golfing Society started over 50 years ago and has approximately 160 members of all ages and golfing abilities. Membership is free.
It offers a mix of good social golf and more serious competition in national public school events. Fixtures include an annual match against a mix of boys and staff from KES, three annual matches against other former pupil associations, a spring and autumn meeting, and public school events.
Any OEs who enjoy a game of golf are welcome to join – whatever their ability or handicap. For further information about all the fixtures and events please contact Martin Wilkes via the Development & Alumni Relations Office.
Alumni versus Pupil Matches
The school Sports Department runs alumni versus pupil matches in Cricket and Golf, with help from OEs. Alumni are always welcome to join us for our celebratory matches.
Cricket
In June/July of each season, the Old Edwardian Cricket Club (OECC) plays the School at Eastern Road (20 over match). This is usually held in the afternoon after Speech Day, alongside the school Sports Day.
If you’re not a member of the OECC, you can also volunteer to play in the ‘Old Boys’ versus KES 1XI match, which usually takes place after Speech Day in late June/early July (35 over match). Please contact oldeds@kes.org.uk to be put in touch with the organisers.
