Senior Production: Wuthering Heights 2016
On Thursday, 28 January 2016 pupils from both KES and KEHS put on a joint dramatic production of Wuthering Heights.
Old Edwardians enjoyed a drinks reception in the Chief Master's study prior to the performance in the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre. The pupils then put on an outstanding production which brought Emily Brontë's extraordinary novel of love, betrayal and revenge to life.
Wuthering Heights follows the story of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, the foundling her father adopted, and their passionate yet destructive relationship. After enduring bullying and humiliation at the hands of Catherine's brother, Hindley, Heathcliff leaves Wuthering Heights. Years later, he returns as the rich and polished man of Catherine's aspirations and then sets about exacting revenge on the families that he believes ruined his life.
