PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE NEARS COMPLETION

The Sir Paul and Lady Ruddock Performing Arts Centre will be officially opened on Friday 27th April 2012. To find out more about the most significant new building on the Edgbaston site since the two Schools moved here in 1936 click here.

TOLKIEN IN THE NEWS

With the release of The Hobbit fast approaching, J.R.R. Tolkien (1911) is once again very much in the media. King Edward's School participated in a story for Central News in January 2012, looking at the influences and inspiration behind Tolkien's work. THE OPEN ACCESS DEBATE

Last week the 'Open Access' programme proposed by the Sutton Trust once again hit the news, as the Government is asked to provide state subsidies to enable bright pupils regardless of background to attend top private schools.
