Foundation archive

The Foundation archive is held in the Resources Centre, at the entrance to King Edward's and is a unique treasure trove of historical documents. Although information is held on all the Foundation Schools, by far the largest amount of archive material is for King Edward's. The archive includes Governor order books and minutes dating from the 1600's, the original architectural drawings of the New Street building by Sir Charles Barry, numerous newspaper articles and photos. You can see a small selection of the material by using the links on the left. It is hoped in the future that the material held may be properly digitised.
