Run from King Edward’s to Paris!
Date: Saturday 14th March 2026
Time: 10.00 – 12.30
Location: King Edward’s School, Birmingham
Mr Labatut, French teacher at KES, is taking on the Paris Marathon this spring, and we’re inviting the OE community to get involved in a fun and meaningful way. Pupils and staff will also be getting involved and we would love you, as an Old Edwardian, to join us in this exciting community event.
We’ll be coming together to collectively “run to Paris” by completing the full marathon distance by running laps around South Field – all to raise money for the KES Assisted Places Scheme.
That’s 604 laps in total!
Whether you can run one lap or ten, every contribution helps us move closer to the Arc de Triomphe and makes a real difference to the lives of pupils who benefit from Assisted Places.
How to Take Part
We’ll be running from the Andrew Brode Sports Centre between 10.00 and 12.30, with 30-minute slots to help manage numbers. The route takes place around the South Field at King Edward’s School, Birmingham.
Please sign up for a time slot when you book your place below.
Raising Money
Pupils are getting sponsored for their laps, and you’re very welcome to do the same, or you can make a donation via the website – Single Gifts – Old Edwardians KES BOYS. All proceeds go directly to the KES Assisted Places Scheme.
Why not make it fun?
- Run with a group of fellow OEs?
- Coordinate a fancy-dress theme?
